Hello everyone, and welcome to Nicko's Kitchens budget meals!
Today we are going be making a Chinese pork stir-fry.
Now, the ingredients only cost me $11,85, it servers four,
so per portion, it's only going to cost you $2,95.
So, let's get started!
*He's got budget meals Monday, what you want Wednesday,
Fast food Friday, what else could he share?
It's Nicko's kitchen, where satisfying meals are prepared.*
So guys, I am cooking outside today,
because it is such a beautiful day.
I just had to get out here and do today's video outside.
So the first thing we are going to do, into a bowl,
I've just got some Singapore noodles here,
and I'll put them straight in.
Now, these are already part cooked,
so all I'm going to do, is put some hot water over the top.
And I am going to leave them there
for about 7 minutes, to soften.
So guys, I'm using a high heat for this,
and I want the wok nice and hot,
before we start cooking with it.
Now the first thing I am going to put into the wok,
is just some sesame oil.
To that I'm just going to add some garlic paste.
And to the garlic and oil, I am going to add some union
that I just roughly sliced.
And just give that a good stir.
Now you really want these unions nice and soft.
Once your union has started to go soft,
and just slightly caramelized
with that garlic and sesame oil,
I want you to put in some pork.
And the pork that I'm using here,
I've just sliced up some pork medallions,
but you use any cut that you want.
Now again, before we add any more sauces,
you really want to get a nice colour
on the outside of those pork strips.
So now we are going to add in some sauces,
and the first one I got is just some soy sauce.
And soy sauce and pork go really well together
because the soy sauce is really salty.
And for some real stickiness with our noodles,
I'm going to add in some oyster sauce.
And the very last thing I want to add guys,
is I've just got some broccolini
that I have just taken the storks off,
and I'm going to add that straight in.
It just gives this stir-fry a nice fresh look
and gives a bite to it as well.
So guys, the pork should take about 7-8 minutes
to cook in the wok.
Now, right at the end, what I'm going to do,
is I've just discarded the water from our noodles,
And I'm just going to pop them straight in,
and just mix the noodles around with the pork mix.
And that's it guys, so lets now plate this bad boy up!
So there you have it guys, check that out.
It smells absolutely gorgeous!
I bet my neighbours are totally jealous.
Okay, lets get stuck in, and give this a go.
Oh! The sweetness and saltiness...
The broccoli and the pork go so well,
the noodles are fantastic.
So give this a go guys,
so check it out, and you will not be disappointed,
I guarantee it.
You guys take care, and I will see you this Wednesday,
for what you want Wednesday.
So until then, take care!
