Hello. My name's Felipe Baenninger. I'm brazilian.
Citizen.
Pay all my taxes in every candy I buy in this country.
Yesterday I joined the protests against
the price raise on transportation
and I was there peacefully from the beginning
'til the moment it ended
with the dispersion practiced by
special forces from Porto Alegre
and at that moment at Joao Pessoa avenue some protesters
went left on a street and others
went through Joao Pessoa
and some to the right.
A few people calmly...
womans
elderly people
At this moment
when it seemed the protest ended
I heard some cops saying "Dispersed, dispersed"
I asked a passer-by gentlemen
how could I get back
to the place I was hosted
and he said it was quite close.
When I turned, my mobile phone ringed I was going to answer it...
and... at this moment I heard one of the cops
pointing and saying "it's him, it's him Stop!'
I said "okay... I'm not resisting..
Even tough they beat me,
strong
put my face on the floor
scratched against it... they pepper sprayed my face
strangled , dragged me to their vehicle...
I really think I look like someone they didn't like.
There was no reason they were aggressive against me
nor with any other person I met at the police dept...
People that had no connection
with what they were accusing them
here's no reason a police officer act so aggressively.
Police is not meant for this
there's no more utility.
there's no more utility.
It's out of the military scope and it approaches people in a truculent manner.
read this morning that
6 journalists from São Paulo
were arrested a colleague had a rubber bullet in her eye.
First I would like to say to my family
that I'm fine despite some injuries.
apesar das escoriações minha saúde está garantida
I've been to a doctor....
registered the occurrence
the 'corpo delito'.
I was indicted
for damaging public patrimony
I indicted them... registered another occurrence
telling
my cap was stolen,
my heard damaged
and I shot this video because
it's time for us to do something.
We cannot be beaten up and be quiet.
Enough!
Omission...
is to be part of the oppression.
We cannot omit/let go.
That's why I ask everybody. Move, communicate, talk to each other on the streets.
Keep nothing to yourselves.
You gotta protest.
My integrity is guaranteed. I won't stop. My trip will not end here.
I'm going to recover myself
and soon I'll get back
on creating my documentary about bikes in Brazil.
I... really... render my condolences to the cops
that one day got into the corporation
nd believed that they would participat
e of a justice process.
What's happening daily in Brazil isn's a justice
It's aggression... that recalls dictatorship.
Those who suffered with dictatorship
knows
s what can happen inside a police dpt.
All I could think was in tortures, a bigger truculence
that already happened and we cannot let this happen...
We cannot let this happen...
Hugs to everyone... I miss you all from SP.
